A collector’s favorite, Philodendron 'Florida Ghost' earns its name from the haunting, pale new leaves that emerge white or minty green before maturing into deeper shades of green. With its deeply lobed, almost skeletal foliage and climbing habit, this hybrid is both eerie and elegant—perfect for a bright indoor corner or shaded patio.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Too little light reduces the ghostly white effect; too much direct sun can scorch leaves.

Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid letting it sit in water; prefers slightly moist but never soggy roots.

Humidity: Moderate to high humidity (60–80%) helps maintain healthy growth and vibrant color transitions.

Temperature: Best between 20–30°C. Protect from chills—avoid exposure below 15°C.

Soil: Well-draining, airy mix. Use a chunky aroid blend: coco chips, perlite, bark, and peat or cocopeat.

Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced or nitrogen-rich fertilizer. Reduce feeding in winter.

Mounting: Can be mounted. Grows well when supported on moss poles, wooden planks, or bark slabs to encourage larger leaf development.

Special Notes: Leaf color varies depending on light, maturity, and season. Over time, each plant will show slightly different “ghost” tones.
