With shimmering silver-blue leaves and a trailing or climbing growth habit, Cebu Blue is a tropical vine that feels both airy and architectural. Native to the Philippines, it’s admired for its cool-toned foliage that fenestrates (splits) as it matures, especially when given vertical support and bright light.
Epipremnum Pinnatum (Cebu Blue)
Light: Bright, indirect light encourages faster growth and mature leaf splitting. Tolerates medium light, but color may dull and growth slow.
Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid letting it dry out completely or stay waterlogged.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50–80%), but adapts well to typical indoor levels.
Temperature: Ideal range is 20–30°C. Avoid exposure to cold drafts or temps below 15°C.
Soil: Loose, well-draining mix—an aroid blend with cocopeat, perlite, and bark is ideal.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring through early autumn).
Mounting: Can be mounted. Grows best when trained on a moss pole, trellis, or wooden board. Climbing encourages mature foliage with fenestrations.
Special Notes: Juvenile leaves are narrow and solid; mature leaves become larger and split. Regular pruning encourages bushier growth.
